Ruth W. Blume Endowed Scholarship

To provide scholarships for undergraduate students majoring in Secondary Education. Earnings shall be used for tuition, books, and fees. The following criteria apply: 1.) The scholarship shall be awarded to academically qualified undergraduate students majoring in Secondary Education with a minimum of 60 semester hours completed and a cumulative GPA of 3.0; 2.) Students must demonstrate financial need as verified by the Office of Financial Assistance (OFA); 3.) Previous recipients will be given preference in the annual awarding of the scholarship(s) provided the recipients have maintained good academic standing; and has/have continued to demonstrate the qualities which originally qualified them for the award; 4.) The Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and a committee of two professors from the Education Dept. shall select the students; 5.) The student(s) must demonstrate genuine interest in Secondary Education and must submit a letter of application that addresses why they are interested in this field of study.
